Robot mower Black Friday: how to tell a real deal
When the offers run, how to check a "was" price, and what to sort out when you buy a mower in November for a lawn you won't cut until spring.

Black Friday is on Friday 27 November 2026 this year, and most UK shops run their offers for a week or more around it, through to Cyber Monday. Most robot mowers are bought in spring, so November offers are usually about clearing stock before the new season's models arrive.

Is the "was" price real?
UK pricing rules expect a "was" price to be one the shop really charged, for a reasonable time, before the sale. We only show a saving against the seller's own was price, never one we work out from another shop. On the live site every seller's price is read daily, and price drops lists what has actually fallen since our last full check. Right now 11 of the mowers we track have a sale price from their seller; they are on the deals page.
Last year's model or this year's?
44 of the 80 mowers we track went on sale in 2025 or later. When a replacement arrives, shops clear the old model, and Black Friday is a common time to do it. A discounted older mower can be the better buy, as long as it comes with a UK warranty and the maker still updates its app. Each mower page lists the sellers and the warranty.
Buying in November for a lawn you'll mow in spring
- The warranty usually starts when you buy. A November purchase can use four or five months of cover before its first proper cut. Keep the receipt with the box.
- You get 14 days from delivery to cancel an online order. That is the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Unbox the mower, charge it and run the app set-up in that time, even if you only map part of the lawn, so a faulty unit or a signal problem shows up while you can still send it back.
- Store it properly. If the grass has stopped growing, keep the mower indoors, charged as the manual says. See looking after a robot mower.

A plan for Black Friday week
- Use the garden-fit tool now to get two or three mowers that suit your lawn.
- On each one's page, use "Email me when the price drops".
- Check the deals page during the week. It lists only savings the shop itself shows.
If nothing on your list drops, the spring sales from February are the next chance, and that is when most new models arrive.
