Wi-Fi and subscriptions
Husqvarna: 5 models include Automower Connect for 10 years with no renewal fee published. 5 smaller models (Automower Aspire R6V, Automower 312V, Automower 308V, Automower 305E NERA, Automower 310E NERA) rely on your Wi-Fi to navigate, so check the signal at the far end of the lawn before you buy. The wired models need no connection at all.
Navimow: Connect+ (remote control and GPS anti-theft) is free for a year, then about £29 a year. Navimow states that and the data it uses are free, and its models navigate without any connection. More on plans.
Repairs and dealers
Husqvarna sells through its UK store and a long-standing dealer network. Navimow is distributed in the UK by E.P. Barrus, which runs its own dealer network; some models are sold only through those dealers. Either way, buy from a UK seller so the UK warranty applies. See warranty, dealers and repairs.
