If you click a link to a retailer and buy something, we earn a commission. You pay the same price. This is how the site stays free.
Which retailers we link to
We only link to retailers whose affiliate programmes we have joined or applied to ("partner retailers"). Retailer links that earn us commission use rel="sponsored", and every page with them says so near the top; while an application is pending, the link earns nothing. Some mowers are not sold by any partner: we still compare them in full and show the price we found, but without a link. So the retailers we link to are not the whole market, and another shop may sell a mower for less.
Partner programmes we use or have applied to: Amazon Associates 3% (Amazon), Cleva LawnMaster (Awin), Currys (Awin), Dreame (Webgains), ECOVACS UK (Awin), EGO UK (Awin), Einhell UK (Webgains), Greenworks UK (Webgains), Husqvarna (CJ), Just Lawnmowers (Webgains), MOVA UK (Awin), Mammotion (Impact), Mowers Online (Awin), Navimow (Webgains), Wickes (Awin), Worx UK (Worx UK own programme), eufy (Impact/Awin).
How we choose the main "Check price" button
When more than one partner sells a mower, the main button goes to the partner that pays us the most commission, but only if its price is within £20 or 2% (whichever is more) of the cheapest partner. Otherwise it goes to the cheapest partner. Every partner and its price is listed in the "Where to buy" table, with the lowest marked.
What commission never changes
Commission never changes our scores, rankings, top picks or best-for lists. They are calculated from specs and costs with fixed rules, and mowers we earn nothing from are scored the same way. Some of them score above mowers we do earn from.
We have not been paid by any brand, and we have not received free mowers. If that ever changes, the page concerned will say so.
